Blue Rose

In my head, the characters started talking, weaving their own stories.  There were some turn of events, which weren't in my plot initially, but ended up meshing well in the story.
Blue rose is about two people who came from broken relationships and what happened when they met.
I hope you'll enjoy reading this story.

Amy and her Murder Mystery

What if you find yourself sprawled on the ground and you didn't know who killed you, what would you do?

Amy Fowler's story came to me as I was driving my car traveling from Batangas to Mandaluyong.  The  drive was long and as one can imagine, could be boring so I let my mind wander to that far off place where I know I might find something quite creative.  I said quite because at the point that I was conceptualizing the idea, I wasn't sure if it would be a good story.

Hours later, I was finished with the first set of story--of Amy and Her Murder Mystery.  The characters were talking freely, walking around in their garbs, invading the world my pen put them in.

To get a sneak peak of what the story is all about, here's link to the eBook in

"Amy Fowler is murdered. She doesn’t know who killed her and she promised herself she would find out for herself. She refuses to leave earth unless the murderer is brought behind bars. But the only way she can help in the investigation is if she possesses someone or--to her horror--something!
Amy meets Dino, another soul roaming the earth, and together they will see the world from another perspective, traveling the same world that neither of them thought they would enjoy unraveling.Join Amy Fowler in her misadventure to discover the identity of her killer."

Recently, I checked Barnes and Noble and was surprised to find some reviews there.  The comments had me laughing and although they were a mix of good and bad, I am grateful to those who commented.

Cheers!

The Writer

About the short story...

"The Writer" is a short story that I wrote when I read a prompt about a novelist who saw a man move in his neighborhood, and the man started acting out like the main character he penned in his manuscript.

It was fun because the activity of answering prompts derived many different responses from writers.  For me, this specific activity was a momentous one because it opened a darker, more sinister side in my writing.

I enjoyed writing this short story and if you want to enter John DelaSant's cuckoo world, please download a free copy from this site:

Once you're done reading, I hope you would take the time to leave a comment here.

Thanks and as usual, cheers!

Welcome

Hi Guys, Welcome to my blog.

First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my site.

Believe me, coming up with this blog was not what I had in mind when I started writing manuscripts (novels), but after going through the challenges any writer at one point in his or her career probably experienced, I would like to share the journey that I'm taking, in the hopes that one article or two would perhaps help out someone in taking the journey too.
Cheers to writing, to chasing the dream--in pursuit of crafting novels, short stories, and poems.

Happy writing!
